Belavia increases the frequency of flights to Georgia
The Vice Prime Minister of Belarus, Yuriy Shuleiko, said at the session of the Governmental Commission for Economic Cooperation held in Tbilisi, that "Belavia" airline will increase the frequency of flights in the direction of Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi during the summer. This decision is due to the high load of direct flights between the countries, which exceeds 80 percent on average.
The parties emphasized the growing dynamics in the field of tourism and noted that, as of 2025, Belarus occupies the 7th place in the top ten in terms of the number of visitors to Georgia, which amounted to more than 150,000 tourists. The vice-prime minister also expressed his readiness to restore the tradition of holding a public holiday, "Tbilisoba" in Minsk, and emphasized the importance of deepening scientific-technical, educational and cultural relations.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to interregional cooperation and activation of connections between business circles. Currently, in the cities of Georgia and Belarus 17 agreements have been signed between the regions, the implementation of which with a specific economic content and the holding of joint exhibition events have been named as a priority for 2026.
