Brussels airport will not serve flights on March 12
Brussels Airport has announced that due to a national strike planned for March 12, there will be no departing flights on that day - a strike by security and baggage services staff will make it impossible to serve passengers departing from Zaventem Airport.
"We are expecting serious difficulties today", - it is mentioned in the press release issued by the airport. According to the representatives of the airport, the issue of suspension of departure flights has already been agreed with the airlines, and this decision will affect the arrival flights as well. The press release also states that disruptions in public transport may begin as early as March 8. So far, there is no information about the situation at Charleroi airport.
The March 12 strike announced by the Belgian trade unions is related to the demands that were put forward a year ago, during the formation of the government of Prime Minister Bart de Wever.
